With 1,785 beds, the Klinikum Chemnitz is one of the largest hospitals in Germany and, as a maximum care hospital, has a wide diagnostic and therapeutic spectrum. We treat around 62,000 in-patients and day-patients and around 80,000 out-patients every year. With more than 7,000 employees, the clinic and its subsidiaries are the largest employer in the region. In the MEDiC human medicine model course of the Dresden Medical Faculty of the Technical University (TU) Dresden and the Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH, 50 medical students start their medical careers at the Chemnitz Medical Campus every year.
