The University Hospital Tübingen (UKT), founded in 1805, is one of the leading centers of German university medicine and, with its 17 university hospitals, institutes and centers, contributes to the successful combination of high-performance medicine, research and teaching. Since January 1998, the University Hospital in Tübingen has been an independent institution under public law with a board of directors and a supervisory board. As a house of maximum care, the UKT is known far beyond the region. Around 75,000 inpatients and around 380,000 outpatients are treated annually. According to the regular patient survey, more than 97 percent of inpatients would recommend the University Hospital in Tübingen. More than 10,000 employees with very different tasks work closely together at the UKT. No matter, whether research, teaching, clinic or administration, here we act hand in hand together for the well-being of people. We respond to the commitment of our employees with appreciation and security. The UKT is a reliable employer and takes care of the job security of its employees. The cooperation based on trust and fairness aims at a long-term partnership. For us, lifelong learning is not just an empty phrase, but an important concern. That is why we support our employees in their professional training and further development. At the clinic's own academy for education and personnel development (ABiP), our employees can take advantage of numerous further education and training opportunities. With around 800 trainees in 18 different professions, we are the largest training center in the region and offer young people sound vocational training.
