We are now looking for a
BUSINESS ANALYST
to join Finnair’s Digital Services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated reporting, dashboards, data output, and in-depth analysis within the People & Common area. The People & Common team plays a crucial role in supporting Finnair’s People & Culture, Finance & Procurement, and other Group Functions, as well as driving our Intelligent Automation and Generative AI efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Finnair team!
This is parental leave and a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible and lasting until the end of August 2026.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain KPI reports in close collaboration with key stakeholders to understand their data needs, reporting requirements, and performance metrics
Proactively generate ideas for utilizing analytics to enhance business performance
Apply innovative approaches and seek opportunities for process optimization and automation
Translate complex information into comprehensive reports and provide corresponding recommendations
Collaborate closely with a diverse group of data professionals and business stakeholders
Ensure the availability, accuracy, and relevance of data and analyses, and complete ad-hoc reporting and analyses as required.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
Analytical, business-minded, and proactive working style with strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to seamlessly transition between ad-hoc analysis tasks and structured, project-based approaches
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Proven experience in business intelligence development, including data modeling, report design, and data analysis
Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation
Proficiency in Power BI and DAX for data modelling and report development
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
Experience with ETL processes and data integration
Relevant master’s degree (e.g., business, engineering, analytics)
Additionally, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100)
Experience with other tools from Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps)
Experience using Snowflake and/or Oracle DWH
Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations
Familiarity with agile ways of working
Experience with industry standard financial and HR-related terminology
